the journey!

We arrived at Heathrow in good time and straightaway headed for Strada for a lovely meal.

After a quick look around the shops we were called through to our departure gate and onto our plane, Oman Air. We were delighted to be welcomed on board by the pilot over the PA. Thank you Mrs Hardiman!!

The team quickly perused the entertainment facilities and settled down to choose from an excellent selection of films. Favourites were The Hunger Games and This Means War. Unfortunately this meant that some of the team got very little sleep and emerged bleary eyed at our stopover in Muscat.

We were only in Muscat for a couple of hours.

On the next plane we are asleep in seconds.

After four hours we arrived at Colombo Airport. We were pleased to find no queue at immigration, however it still took ages as things clearly move very slowly here!

Luggage all claimed ok although Matt's case looks the worse for wear.

Mr Knight is waiting for us and we are pleased to see him. We change our money into great piles of notes (there is even a 5p note!!)

Off we go to find the bus.

The adventure begins ...............
