The Golden Star Beach Hotel

Issie reports on our last evening in Negombo....

 

On our last night in Negombo we had dinner in 'The Golden Star Beach Hotel'; a hotel down the road from our accommodation. Despite waiting To eat for 2 and a half hours it was worth the wait and the food was lovely!

The evening was organised by Mr De Mel the head of Serve who gave us a talk on the work of Serve, he explained the charity and our input into the project, the talk was short but informative. We ate our dinner with him and his wife who both spoke very good English and made our evening enjoyable.

Our evening consisted of good conversation, food, lovely views and even people coming to sing and play guitars for us :-)

We are all having a great time and are looking forward to seeing the project tomorrow!
